I really like the mantle. I stained it a bombay mahogany. I had a handyman install the new tile and mount the mantle.

Arrived damaged. The side seam construction has gaps that will need to be filled. Also there are flaws in the non damaged areas as well. This would look nice if it arrived 100%. Some of the measurements provided are a little misleading as well. Waiting to see how this will be resolved. Vendor recommended replacement, but have not received any replacement information yet. Fingers crossed I will get a unit that arrives in perfect condition.

This mantle piece is beautiful, good quality. I did not put it around a fireplace. I used it as an accent piece. I bought the natural one and put a primer on it and a brownish gray paint. With marble tile on the inset. A TV we will be hung above.
