Joints are not cleanly done, but close enough. I filled the joints, primed and painted over the mantel.

I really wanted this to work. The mantel pieces themselves were heavy and looked really nice once I unwrapped them from the box. The issues started when I went to assemble the mantel and join the legs to the front plate, I could not get the holes for the screws to line up, creating a significant gap in the corners. It’s poor quality control. Additionally the only way I could submit a return to wayfair was to select that I “didn’t like the item”, if I selected “defective/damaged” it just kept routing me to call the manufacturer and therefore I was on the hook for the $150 to return it. This mantel is huge, I couldn’t store it in my house while waiting to hear back from the manufacturer. I am extremely disappointed by this whole ordeal.

Love this mantle! I ordered the paint grade mantle but it was solid wood and beautiful. So we didn’t paint it!

Not installed yet its for my new home, but it is out of the box and is beautiful, wood tone is exactly like the picture. Will send update on e installed
