• Michael is highly inspired by his surroundings and often makes sculptures of objects that might otherwise be overlooked in the everyday. Nature is his biggest muse, as is the handmade process.
• I like the old saying that every man's home is his palace. This is a collection that brings the grandness and intricacy of palace architecture into your home, in an elegant yet everyday way. The collection is a journey of sorts into the sophisticated world of regal architecture, yet what I love about it is that there is a surprising simplicity to the geometric forms as well as restraint in the tone-on-tone interplay with light and shadow of the surfaces.
