It appears to be plexiglass not glass. I didn't break it to check though. First item I have bought from Wayfair that has disappointed me.

This item was sent without the hanging hardware which the website specified that came with it. Wayfair service representatives tried to help by getting some hardware after the fact from the manufacturer, but I couldn't figure out how to attach it and was worried I might damage the item in the process. I didn't buy the item thinking I would have to put it together. It is going back.

The quality was okay but less thanI have come to expect from Wayfair. This was purchased for a gift and the recipient requited I return same.
