I love the clean, simple, lines of these chairs and the kaleidoscope of colors they come in. They are very well constructed, super easy to clean, and can be combined in multiple colors for a variety of uses. They are perfect for breakfast nooks (which is where my client's used them), for study rooms, kids rooms, or even conference rooms for casual offices. Pros: durable, unique, colorful, easy to clean. Cons: Took a long time for the order to arrive.

We paid [$] for the Maui chair by Vico Magistretti and it developed a large crack where the back and seat portion transition. We have used it very lightly and it's obvious the design and materials are defective. I have not yet pursued this issue but I would not recommend this chair. For what you get, it's very pricey so if you don't have [$] to throw away, don't get it. The other reviewer's experience with the manufacturer makes me suspicious - it makes me wonder if the company is getting lots of calls. It's disgraceful not to stand behind an expensive, top of the line designer product.

The plastic fails; cracking occurs and even in one case the back broke away from the seat. Kartell will not answer emails and advised Australian retail store that seat relacements are not avaalable; No offer received to replace.
