The Juliska Pewter stoneware charger is gorgeous and adds an elegant layer of protection to my dining room table. Depending on whether I use these chargers in natural daylight or with candles and a warm lit chandelier, the subtly reflective surface can appear more gray or can have a slight brown undertone to the gray. For me, they have been perfect under my china collection in any light. Do not expect them to look like silver toned pewter metal - they are deeper in color and have a uniquely reflective surface.

They do not in any way look like pewter!
