My old cartridge had lost the ability to maintain a constant temperature. Replacement was easy but did require some effort to get the old cartridge out by aggressively wiggling it up and down and side to side. The new cartridge was smaller than the 15 year old cartridge but went in smoothly and works great. Very pleased with the result.
