It’s exactly what I wanted!!

This is a medium size weathervane -- larger than a garden-size but smaller than the very large ones meant to go on top of a two-story house and cupola. This is perfect for the roof of my single-car detached garage. The dog is very detailed and nicely finished. It did take three of us (the two nice guys from the roofing company and yours truly) to assemble it, orient the directional indicators (there are 4 different ways they can be put together, and three of them are wrong!), and set it up pointing to magnetic north. It is very important to get the center support *absolutely* level in all directions!! Also, the directions said that no lubricant was needed on the pivot point for the vane . . . but it did not turn as freely as I liked, so I gave it a spritz of white lithium grease to encourage it. A nice front came through this afternoon with a brisk wind that swirled a bit, so we were able to confirm that it turns freely!

Love the Weathervane BUT the N, S, E & W are all one piece. It would be nice if there were 2 individual directional pieces so the N/S could be flipped upside down to accommodate how it was being viewed and didn't appear backwards.

These people wrap this thing so ridiculously with shrink wrap it’s impossible to get it off without scratching it. I wouldn’t buy from this company if they gave me this company.
