SOLID wood construction. This is a heavier piece and very sturdy. I am so pleased with how well it's made. "Assembly," if I even call it that, took about 10 minutes. Great versatility for this console with the sliding table top.

Nice, solid piece of outdoor furniture that looks as though it will last forever. Fairly easy to put together in about 45 mins. It is exactly what I was looking for for our dining gazebo. We plan to use the bucket for icedrinks sometimes and as a scrap bucket (for clean up) others.
