A hand lathe-turned ebony wood vase. This piece belongs to our Lavusa range. The body is rounded and ridged, with a narrow opening. Every vase is a labor of love, beginning as raw ebony hardwood before being expertly turned on a lathe by skilled Mozambican artisans. The ridges and design are shaped entirely by hand, creating a true masterpiece that brings the beauty of African craftsmanship into your home. It holds a few fresh or dried stems and small arrangements. Each one is shaped by artisans living in Mozambique's vast woodlands from Mpingo — the Kiswahili name for African blackwood. Small differences in tone and slight imperfections are confirmation of authentic materials and craftsmanship. The wood is always sustainably and ethically sourced in accordance with sustainable practices.
