The Artistic Floral Medallion Center Antique Chinese Room Size Deco Rug is an exceptional example of 1920s Art Deco weaving. This hand-knotted wool rug features a striking deep plum field that provides a rich contrast to the central floral spray. The naturalistic bouquet is rendered with remarkable depth, showcasing peonies, chrysanthemums, and trailing vines in soft peach, mint, and blue hues, anchored by a dominant coral pink. Woven with a 0.5-inch pile height, this rectangular rug offers a luxurious tactile quality typical of fine Shanghai workshops. Its generous room-size proportions make it a monumental focal point for refined living spaces or grand salons, blending historical sophistication with dramatic scale.
