The construction of the wood and leather is a higher quality than you typically find these days, but I am not happy with the variances in color that I received. The leather is much lighter than pictured - more on the blonde side of tobacco than the cognac shown in the online pictures. Contrary to many of the reviews I read, my 3 stools did have sealer on the wood, in an almost whitewashed finish, but was not evenly applied in at least one place on all the stools. The legs were all smooth and came with felt pads, but they are a very grey looking oak. Paired with the blonder leather there is not enough contrast and the look is just blah. Even though they appear well made, they are not aesthetically pleasing. As for comfort, the seat itself works for everyone in my house, but no one likes the foot rest. It is bent into the middle more than appears in the pics online and it's not a natural feeling to sit and put your feet on it. Depending on the carrier, it was going to cost us $650 - $1300 to return them. Regretful purchase.

Matches our counter and cabinets really well. Plus they are very sturdy and made with quality materials (real leather and wood). I think these will last a very long time if you take care of it. My family loves them.

We bought these stools because we needed a low profile option for our seated island. These stools are very sturdy. We have vinyl flooring in the kitchen and have had them for about 6 months with no marks or scratches on the floor. The leather has creased slightly but I believe that to be normal wear. We were very pleased with both the color of the wood and the leather. They are pricey but the quality is there.

The chairs are solid and look nice, however backrest is not usable, because as soon as you lean back you slide off the front. I was hoping for chairs with a back support and these are not that. If you’re ok with not using the back rest, these look great.

I love the contrast of the black with the lighter wood. Work great in my mid-century house. They look good, but are not comfortable!
