Our effortlessly cool chair is thoroughly modern and possesses a pedigree that reaches back to the 18th century. We've taken a classical shape, removed the decorative embellishments popular in the neo-classical period, and stripped it down to classical straight clean lines. Using modern proportions and finishes, we've reimagined it as a 21st-century piece with a 1960s retro appeal, with a back and seat made of bleached cane in a traditional octagonal pattern.

Hand-carved detailing is on full display with our Side Chair. The octagonal seat back is slightly curved for comfort and accented with multi-layered channels. The back and seat are adorned with bleached cane, and each leg is deftly tapered. French-inspired, this elegant and feminine seat is slightly smaller in scale and works perfectly as a vanity or desk seat, yet it would still be a beautiful and practical option to surround a dining room table.

Graceful curves and soft textures define the Sadie LB dining chair, designed with both comfort and everyday use in mind. Upholstered in performance white linen, the generously cushioned seat is framed in textured light blue linen for a subtle touch of color. A satin brass ring on the back isn't just decorative - it offers a convenient way to pull the chair out with ease, helping to keep the fabric clean. Perfect for dining tables and daily gatherings, this chair combines refined style with lasting comfort.

The J18 chair was designed by Borge Mogensen in 1945. Like Mogensen's other well-known FDB chairs, this model is distinguished by its clean, Nordic design with no decoration or unnecessary trimmings, and where the focus is on function and simplicity. The comfortable chair was inspired by the old eighteenth-century English Windsor chairs. The solid backrest continues into the armrests, which fit under most tabletops. The comfortable, bowl-shaped wooden seat slopes gently backwards.

Borge Mogensen was already referencing historical classics when he designed J52B, his take on the English Windsor chair, in 1952. The Windsor chair was a solid and comfortable chair with roots in 16th-century England, and here FDB Mobler's head designer tried to lighten the expression with a range of simple staves. The result was a very comfortable chair with a simple and functional expression. The chair was reportedly President Kennedy's favorite chair to relax in. It can be used both as a dining chair and as a lounge chair.
