This armchair has exposed wood framing the back. The open arms curve from the back and have rounded knuckles. The arm posts scoop back from the legs which have stretchers and casters. The outside back has x-shaped lattice detail.

We like the design, fabric, and comfort of the chairs. The wood used to craft the chairs arms and legs dents and nicks easily. It’s for lack of a better word, SOFT. We tried to carefully unpack the chairs from the voluminous cardboard, foam and wrapping plastic used to protect the chairs during shipping. Unfortunately our careful efforts still resulted in a couple nicks in the arms and legs of one of the chairs. Great and beautiful product, but this type of wood is a softwood. It can be easily chipped or damaged. I still love it just maybe not pet or kid safe. I have two other purchase with this live and other line from Lexington that are amazing, but they get damaged very easily. It wouldn’t stop me from ordering again, but I don’t have pets or kids….
