Sitting on an X-shaped pedestal base, the Saranac 46-inch Round Dining Table's top opens to reveal a cleverly engineered butterfly leaf that quickly expands the table to 62 inches. The Saranac Collection is a beautiful example of the sustainable use of timber, crafted from rustic offcuts of black walnut with dramatic knots, surface checks, and swirls of light and dark that are unique from one piece to the next.

It features a swirly-crotch mahogany field, black/white and tulipwood inlays, and satinwood and Santos rosewood borders with a three-beaded edge. It features a hand-rubbed and polished finish.

We take the last slice of the tree trunks we use for our live edge tables and fashion them to a base, score them with a chainsaw, then burn them with a blowtorch and seal them in matte lacquer.
