Its seat and back are upholstered in genuine leather that's stuffed with foam for added comfort. And its frame is made from solid wood in a natural woodgrain finish (knots and all). This stool also has a convenient footrest that gives tired feet a place to land. Plus, we love that its full-back design lets you sit back while you enjoy a homecooked meal. These stools are fantastic. True to picture. My only concern is that Four HandsPerigold has major difficulties in delivering in a reasonable time frame. I received one of four bar stools after 4 moths. I am still waiting on the other three. I hesitate to ship at Perigold given the deceiving delivery. Rh. MN. Mon Oct 27 2025

I loved this counter stool and the other items I purchased. Unfortunately I had to return EVERYTHING I bought because I’m selling the home I never lived in. My neighbors (all on HOA) gave me such grief I cannot live in that neighborhood. If I breathed wrong they continued to punish me for not submitting an ARC approval before installing a whole house water filtration system (that many others have). I was told I can’t even plant something on my own property without ARC approval! The enviornment was simply too toxic.. Maurisa. Bonita Springs, FL. Sun Dec 17 2023

The Shinto Counter Stool was designed as an ode to the traditional Japanese Torii Gate found at the entrances of Shinto shrines. The stool invites you to pause, find peace in the moment and come together with friends and family around the dining table. A quarter inch thick leather wraps a hand-crafted frame. Enjoy the piece as its untreated leather seat patinas with age instead of chemicals and molds to the wood frame over time, just like the vintage pieces you love. The thick leather, along with the handcrafted frame and a curved backrest, offer exceptional comfort and an eye-catching sense of style. 5 year warranty. We use high-quality, full-grain vintage leather that is not treated with synthetic finishes. This allows the natural oils from your body to create a unique patina over time, sealing the leather in its own beautiful way. The look and feel of this slow forming patina cannot be replicated with synthetic finishes.
