The table is sturdy and the metals are quality. It’s hard to tell on the photos so letting you know the base is a black metal. The gold tray is a nice burnished brass and not bright, which I liked. Be aware- the height description is correct, but there is a 1.5” bolt underneath that will affect the clearance if you want it go over your sofa or chair. Mine did clear as I knew it was higher than I needed, but the bolt was damaging the sofa surface. I used yoga mat material and duct tape to cover and soften. Also, when you receive it look for how the gray lines up within the frame. Mine was crooked as I think you can see in my photos. Perhaps no one else will notice but me I have had a hard time finding a table of this design and size so I will keep it despite the flaws.. Leslie. Greensboro, NC. Fri Jul 14 2023
