With wrapped veneer and performance-grade linen, the Orion counter stool is equal parts beautiful and practical. Bronze sabots cap each tapered leg and the sloping, curved silhouette evokes casual luxury. The bungalow 5 driftwood finish is created with durable and sustainably-farmed cape lilac mahogany from Indonesia. Its grain—similar to oak—is wire brushed to emphasize the whirls and patterns. Then, the wood is stained with a background color and rubbed with causing the pigment to contrast each ridge, creating a coastal finish. The result is a comfortable, modern, and curved counter stool that marries mid-century bent plywood designs with an art deco flair. It would be appropriate in a dining room, kitchen, or family room with a counter height peninsula. Because the chairs are casually formal, they’re the perfect choice for a beautiful island that is open to the rest of your living room or as a segue from your kitchen into an elegant living room.

Modern design rooted in rustic charm—the Oslo counter stool is a beautiful embodiment of mid-century Scandinavian aesthetics. Our craftsmen uphold the ideals of function and comfort, crafting a stem-bent frame of solid oak with a curved back for effortless support. The Oslo’s unique profile is marked by lightness and simplicity, though in signature Scandinavian style, it remains connected to nature. A limed finish from its framework back to its subtly tapered stretchers highlights the natural grain of the wood, while a hand-fashioned rope seat adds more organic texture and appeal. Its cool minimalism makes it a wonderful accent seat in contemporary spaces, or a way to update classic country homes as a set around a kitchen island.

The Loop design is an homage to the 1768 original Chinoiserie chairs made by a contemporary of Thomas Chippendale’s and Frances Elkin’s influential 1930 version. Solid mahogany supports the delicately pierced legs and lyrical, looping fretwork.

The specs online are incorrect. The seat height is actually more like 28" with the pad. We'll have to return.. Bridgette. Sandy Spring, MD. Mon Jul 25 2022
