Elevated design and quality. All finishes are thoughfully designed and finely manufactured. Very comfortable footrest placement for taller guests. Backrest is low profile above counter height and armrest is 2" below counter so this chair tucks under and becomes unobstrusive. Fabric is durable. Purchased as open box but still shocking to see how this was returned and re-sold. One chair has noticeable scuffs on the armrest and was re-shipped without any quality control inside a badly damaged box and purposefully destroyed packaging materials including forcefully smashed pieces of wooden pallet. The second chair came in perfect condition and extremely well-packaged, so whomever returned the first chair made an wantonly violent effort to damage a beautifully made piece. I'm delighted with these stools! They're very comfortable, and I love the combination of materials, especially the faux leather seats, which make cleaning up spills so much easier- the back is a different material- keeps it interesting. They're also the perfect counter height and tuck under the counter just enough. For reference, my counter is 89 inches long, and I was able to fit four stools perfectly! They look classy and elegant, and the gold is the perfect tone, not too shiny, just a nice muted gold. I thought about taking off one star is because the legs have a more distressed finish than what the pictures show. Not a dealbreaker, but worth mentioning.
