It has a generous headboard and can be configured for a mattress and box spring or mattress only. The Sarah Sleigh bed with a high footboard is available with either a 51” or 45” high headboard.

This is an absolutely beautiful piece of furniture. Expensive, but completely worth the cost. To have a piece like this custom-made would have been at least as much, and would take longer. I have other pieces in this collection from Copeland. Made from solid cherry with black walnut drawer pulls and beautifully finished, it is exceptional. Was supposed to be delivered in August but it arrived in July. Very pleased about that, along with the communication from Wayfair. The delivery was spot on--the 2 guys were nice as could be and were right on time. They handled the box carefully, and even carried it back to the bedroom rather than leaving it inside the front door. We had a nice chat and tipped them well! This is so great that I really can't expound upon it's quality and style sufficiently. We bought it along with a matching queen size bed frame. I'm adding photos that show the wood slats in the construction of each piece. I hadn't detected this in the website photos. But, it made the pieces all the more beautiful.
