A fresh take on a vintage design, the charming Charleston bench is crafted of wood and accented by a cane on the back and inside and outside arms. Featuring intricately shaped legs, the piece is finished in haint blue. This soft color can be found on the ceilings of porches and entryways, window shutters and doors in the American South, dating back more than 200 years from the Gullah folklore that held the color kept “haints” or spirits from entering homes and dwellings. The cushion is upholstered in the Oyster performance fabric for stain resistance and cleanability.

And, the everyday part is all about home furnishings and decor that can withstand real life (think kids, pets, and friends who drink red wine). As a designer, it's my job to make their home equal parts practical and beautiful.

Very disappointed! Not only is the upholstery very poor quality but the bench is unsafe. Unless you sit in the middle of the bench it will tip over. Very dangerous and it should have a safety warning. We have ordered many things from Perigold/Wayfair so this was very disappointing.
