This is a quality piece. It came assembled except for the shelves. The product description should reflect that but doesn't. Wood feels solid. The back may possibly be mdf but is a single piece that blends and shows no screws or nails. The blue seems more of an admiral blue-cross between navy and royal-vs. a true navy blue. It was well-packaged so I was surprised there was damage to the back right corner. I suspect this was a quality check issue before packaging as it was so well packed I can't see how it could have happened during shipping. The delivery service was excellent. Perigold customer service was excellent. I was able to reach customer service to determine if there was resolution to the damage or to not accept delivery. I kept the piece because it was going in a space where the damage wouldn't be noticed as long as I put decor to hide it. This combined with the resolution is why I accepted delivery. If it weren't for the damage, the piece would be 5 stars. Delivery service and Perigold customer service were 5 stars.

Clean your furniture with routine dusting using a damp cloth and then dry the surface immediately using a dry, soft cloth. Always wipe in the direction of the wood grain.
