To protect your finish, use felt pads on the bottom of items or accessories with rubber bases, feet, or bottoms. Avoid using silicone waxes, lemon oils, or other oily polishes. Your Vanguard furniture should not require any other care than routine dusting and occasional cleaning with a damp cloth or mild, soapy, warm water, followed by immediate drying with a clean, soft cloth. Fabric care: We suggest routine light vacuuming and frequent pillow rotation to help extend the life of the fabric and enhance the overall appearance. If pilling should occur, please know this should not be considered a defect. This is a natural characteristic caused by friction that occurs in the course of normal use. Pilling involves non-structural fibers and does not affect the durability or the strength of the fabric. Pills can easily be removed using a lint or fabric shaver. Also, please note that the application of an after-market treatment as well as exposure to pets and pet dander may cause premature wearing of fabrics.
