Purchased this in April and by July finish was already coming off. We always use coasters so it wasn’t caused by drinks and yes, the coasters have a soft cork bottom. My husband leaves the remote in this spot upside down on the soft buttons. No excuse for this to have happened and no, we don’t have a cat. It came well packaged. They seem like a solid choice, heavy and beautiful. I’m so very disappointed. I notified customer service via the app but the option to add a photo didn’t work. We shall see what happens.
