We recommend trying to use a polish that does not contain silicone, as over a period of time this will build up and muddy your finish. Everything about this chest is exceptional. The matched burls of the drawers, the finish and the drawer interiors are all perfect, solid and beautiful. I purchased this chest to try to replicate the feel of a French antiqued walnut chest we lost to wildfire that destroyed our home. This is the first piece of furniture I have purchased as we rebuild. I'm so happy I did. It's perfect.
