The wood is a smooth, true white color. No wood grain shows, if youre looking for a white-washed stain. The capiz can lean cream or gray, depending on whats going on around it, which makes it very versatile. Its really beautiful without stealing the show. Super happy with it overall. I had a hard time finding real photos online anywhere for this piece so I hope the pics help. (The manufacturer seriously needs help in the marketing dept with their bad photos!) This is a substantial and VERY heavy piece. Wayfair showed up to deliver and then realized it was too heavy for only two men. Make sure they send three!
