My review pertains to the weathered wood coffee table only. The finish on this is absolutely dreadful. There is no evidence of wood, weathered or otherwise, but appears to be spray coated with a dull, porous finish that makes the table look like it has been sprayed with clay or mud. Additionally, because of the porous nature of the coating, anything spilled on the table is immediately absorbed into the finish and cannot be removed. Something as innocuous and common as coffee creates a permanent stain. Consequently, it is not only terribly ugly, but is highly impractical to use in a manner that a coffee table is intended. The design of the table is beautiful and the size is perfect for the room. I have arranged for the return of the weathered wood table and have ordered the same design in hand rubbed black and I’m hoping for better results. I will report back when that table arrives hopefully by the end of September. I’ve included two photos one that is a close-up of the finish and the other showing a coffee stain that I’ve tried absolutely everything to remove and yet it remains.

Flat paint finish absorbs any oily spill and stains
