Had to return table for client. The base was heavy and in excellent condition. The top had several blemishes/knots that had been heavily sanded, stained in black and appeared very smooth and shiny compared grained surface on remainder of top. Unavailable to reorder.

Seems to be made well. I thought the top would have more variation in the wood like some brown tones with the black. It is just black. The gold base is brighter than in the pictures. I was wanting an antique look and this is bright and modern looking.

The photo of the tabletop on line looks much smoother than the table top I received. The finish is rough, uneven and much more rustic. Not a smooth, satin finish like the photo shown.
