This is a pretty piece, better suited for a dining or living room than a kitchen. The photos do not well depict the front decoration, which protrudes about half an inch from the wood. The "branches" are pieces of metal and the shell "leaves" are glued to the wood, not inset.

Absolutely gorgeous piece of furniture. The color is a bit grayer than I expected. I would describe it more as a cool-toned gray rather than a dusty blue. However, I still think it's beautiful. The doors needed a bit of adjusting when they first arrived as they were slightly misaligned (both visibly and were hitting the bottom of the credenza when closing), and the magnets were so strong we thought the doors were stuck. However, the doors were easily adjustable with the adjustable hinges, and the magnets were easily weakened with a small bit of tape over the magnetized parts. The pearl capiz shell is even more beautiful in person than in the photographs. The shelving studs needed a little hammering to get them in, but they're very sturdy. The little sliding piece in the back is neat as it helped us thread a power surge protector into the bottom of the credenza and makes our dining room super clean and wire-free. Overall, I'm super pleased with this purchase!
