The furniture is gorgeous but beware. I chose the white glove delivery option mainly because i saw it was really heavy. My boyfriend assembles everything but i figured if its heavy, and i am fairly weak, that might not work out well for us. So white glove delivery it was. Unfortunately, when the delivery man arrived with the sideboard, he told me he was not the assembly person and that apparently some mistake had been made. I called Wayfair while he was still there, and the woman on the phone call that she would refund my delivery charge for the white glove part but not for the actual standard charge. I informed her that I had pieces of furniture all over my living room floor that someone needed to assemble, and a refund wasn’t going to make that happen. She said that that was one of the only options and that the other option was to return the item. I told her that is not acceptable. Let me speak to your supervisor who is immediately contracted “handy“ to hire one of their assembly people to come to my house the next day to assemble it since that charge was more expensive. I had asked for the difference to be refunded to me, but again the woman told me that she wouldn’t do that I had to speak to her supervisor, and he authorized the additional refund immediately. The next day the man arrived alone. I told him I was surprised he was alone since the piece was heavy and would probably require two people. He said he would try his best to do it without having to get another person since that would be double the charge I cross my fingers and waited. Of course he could not lift the big pieces by himself so I had to help. (My biceps still hurt.) he had real poor instructions from the company, and they did not indicate the proper order that the item should be in in order for it to work. Three calls to the manufacturer of the furniture later, a couple of re-dos, and three hours later, my piece was finally assembled. Looks great but it was frustrating.
