This is an attractive, heavy piece, but the base does not look like real wood. It came with a chip in the finish that repaired myself. The top is a thick plank construction with dark stained rubbed over a nice, neutral brown. I will be keeping it because it completes the scene as planned.

I love this table. It's really a nice, heavy well made table. The oak on top is very pretty, (not at all "70s" oak) It's a more taupe/light brown color. Very nice!
