The table base is very massive and beautifully crafted rich in color and appearance. The top is very thick and heavy, beautifully polished and finished complimenting the base. Very happy with this piece.

Beautiful table! It is very solid and high quality. The base is dark brown. The table top is medium brown (no significant reddish undertone like in the Perigold photos). The bronze collar between the table top and base is metal. It is luminous, but not too shiny, or shelac-y so don't worry about that. To assemble it, all you have to do is use the 4 provided bolts/washers and screw the table top to the metal collar. It's heavy so you will need help. Ideal for 6 chairs. Customer service was excellent. very pleased!

It is beautiful and unique. I wish the wood top was a more durable surface to maintain for daily use.
