I LOVE this piece. The finish of the wood is definitely more of a black tone than wood/ walnut. It sits firmly and is a great piece to put by your entry to make getting shoes on and off easy. My only complaint is that I have had an awful time with shipping, tracking and deliveries being scheduled, confirmed, delayed etc. 30+ emails to get 3 of 9 pieces. Beautiful piece, if you are able to get your hands on one!
