I ordered the Bok Solid Oak Dining table in black and requested the white glove service that included taking the table (and the chairs that I also purchased in this order) to the location of my choice, assembly, and removaldisposal of packaging. While I love the items I purchased (including the table), I am only giving 2 stars because of the quality of the delivery service and how it diminished the quality of the product that was delivered. I had been told the delivery people would notify me of their upcoming arrival 30 minutes beforehand. However, they did not call me until they were on my street which would have been a problem had I gone out to quickly run any errands (it was a Saturday after all). Their demeanor wasn’t very friendly and initially they weren’t going to assemble anything for me until I told them I had ordered from Perigold. They didn’t handle the items or my home with the care I wished they would have. For instance, they took the table top out of its packaging in the truck and while taking it upstairs (where my dining room is) they put the table top against the staircase landing without any protection underneath, which caused the chipping in the corners of the table as shown in the pictures. You can also see that when they assembled the table they did not remove one of the labels on one of the legs and now that label is visible to
anyone sitting on that side of the table. When removing the packaging of the chairs, they used a knife facing the wood, which would have caused simile damage had I not told him to please be careful (he then adjusted his way of removing the packaging). Lastly, they dragged and rolled things on my home’s hardwood floors, which also caused scratches on it. In summary, the “white glove” service did not feel as such (they actually weren’t wearing gloves either and left sweat marks all over the furniture).
