This item, and its smaller matching twin, were exactly what I was looking for. I purchased with the intention to have my new items before Christmas - the estimated delivery date confirmed that was going to happen. (Yay!) I received the confirmation email, was charged the appropriate amount and finally received an email regarding shipping information stating that the item was backordered until February. I quickly lost my enthusiasm and have since been dealing with no less than 30+ emails, multiple 25-45 minute+ phone calls trying to figure this mess out. I've yet to confirm what has been ordered, what has been charged/ refunded and what items I can actually expect to receive. (These shipping/ customer experience issues do not change my initial thoughts about the product, though I still have not received it.) I've purchased things from Perigold, JM & Wayfair previously without issue... I'm not sure if this is isolated because of the time of year or what, but this is absolutely ridiculous. I'm not certain that any of these items are worth the trouble. Really unfortunate.

Beautiful ottoman, heavy enough to stay put and wide enough to have ample space for putting your feet or sitting.
