This antique 19th-century table is a traditional two-drawer side table made from solid walnut wood from the Shanxi Province of Northern China. Built using traditional mortise and tenon joinery, its versatile proportions feature four straight legs supporting a deep rectangular top panel that showcases a rich, distinctive natural wood grain. The table contains two functioning drawers outfitted with ornate, circular antique brass ring-pull hardware, accented by a beautifully fluid, scalloped under-apron and elegant hand-carved openwork spandrels at the corners. Finished in a warm brown lacquer patina that highlights its natural age and historic character, this piece serves as a timeless focal point for an entryway, hallway, or living room.
