Made in 1876 from solid catalpa wood, this elegant wedding cabinet is finished in a vibrant red lacquer that signifies joy and prosperity. The rectangular frame features a pair of flush-mounted doors that open to reveal 2 small drawers and multiple shelves for storage. A central vertical stile and elongated brass plates with a traditional locking pin secure the front, while the lower section is accented by an ornate, hand-carved apron with scrolling openwork. It's a striking statement piece for a bedroom or living space.
