This beautiful 19th century armoire cabinet is built of catalpa wood using traditional Chinese joinery of tenon and mortise. This gorgeous Chinese Chinoiserie piece was retrieved from Shanxi Province and features a typical square-corner construction. The entire front is adorned with hand-painted images of lively landscapes, flowers, and auspicious objects set against a reddish brown finish. The interior is fitted with 2 shelves, inner drawers, and a secret compartment at the bottom for organized storage. This cabinet will be an excellent showpiece in a living room or family room, functioning perfectly as a dry bar or media cabinet.
