I ordered two Bautista goat hide chairs for my family room, and while they’re beautiful, the experience has been incredibly frustrating. The first two arrived broken. I contacted Perigold, FedEx picked them up, and replacements were sent—also broken. At that point, I realized the manufacturer puts the chairs in boxes with zero protection—no bubble wrap, no styrofoam, nothing. I called again, FedEx came again, and the third set arrived with moderate success—only one was broken this time. That’s five damaged chairs and three return shipments. I’m surprised that after so many returns, no manager or QA person has stepped in, and no one has contacted the manufacturer about their inadequate packaging. Simply protecting the chairs in the box could have avoided this entire headache and the expense of returning five chairs.

Spot clean only with water-based shampoo or foam upholstery cleaner. Pretest a small, inconspicuous area before proceeding. Do not over wet and avoid using solvents for spot cleaning. Brush pile fabrics with a non-metallic, soft bristle brush to restore appearance. Cushion covers should not be removed and laundered. Regular vacuuming or light brushing with a non-metallic brush is recommended to remove dust and grime. When cleaning a spill, blot immediately to remove spilled material.
