Beautiful bed. Higher than expected with added 10 inch mattress, but I am getting used to it. Could lower the profile with thinner mattress. All in all, very pleased.

NOW HERE IS A RARE REVIEW FOR ALL OF YOU. BEING A DESIGNER I AM USED TO GETTING DELIVERY DATES FOR FURNITURE THAT ARE DELAYED ... WITH WAYFAIR MY SHIPMENT WAS EARLY. AN UNFORTUNATE MISTAKE WAS MADE IN THE SHIPPING ADDRESS THEY WERE GIVEN, WHICH I DID NOT CATCH AND WAYFAIR HANDLED THE REDIRECTION OF MY PURCHASE IMMEDIATELY AND WAS VERY REASSURING THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS...WITH ALL OF THIS I BELIEVE THEY WILL STILL COME IN BEFORE THE DEADLINE. With its deeply splayed legs producing dramatic cantilevers, the Astrid Bedroom is an engineering feat that defies expectations. A true platform bed, Astrid may be ordered with or without headboard panels. Recommended mattress thickness is 8 in. to 12 in. The Astrid Bedroom is crafted in a combination of walnut and dark chocolate hardwood or solid cherry hardwood and is Made to Order in a range of finishes. The finish is GREENGUARD Certified for low chemical emissions.

Additional Features

Natural variations in solid wood and hand-applied finishes make each piece unique. Slight grain and finish irregularities as well as subtle differences in stain shades are signs that the furniture has been crafted from solid wood and are considered hallmarks of quality.
Finely crafted using time-tested joinery and construction methods, lumber is selected, sanded and assembled by hand to ensure that all the joinery is clean, flush, and smooth to the touch.
Multiple coats of silky smooth varnish is applied and sanded by hand to provide lasting protection that is resistant to stains, moisture rings, heat damage and abrasions.
