I like it much better than the current console. The lighter wood helps brighten the entry and balances the dark floors and black front doors. The shape of the legs adds character without feeling overly decorative, and it gives the space a more custom, designer look. The size also feels appropriate for the wall and mirror. Overall, it makes the foyer feel warmer, more inviting, and more intentional. I would definitely make the swap.
