The color of the Madeline furniture is a darker greener-gray than what is shown in the pictures -- I think they used bright lights to soften the color. These are not a light, soft dove-gray color. Also, the top edges of the dresser and nightstand are a pretty deep gold color -- the edges look sort of white in the photos but, again, the gold color is darker than shown. Since we've thrown all the packaging/boxes out, we're considering repainting the dresser and nightstand to a light gray color, the way they are shown. A hassle but we purchased now and are not going to return them. Just be aware that the coloring is much darker than shown.

Dust with a soft, clean cloth slightly moistened with water, and dry completely with another clean cloth, always rubbing with the grain. Avoid contact with cigarettes, hot dishes, and harsh solvents such as nail polish, alcohol and moisture. Use pads beneath accessories and when writing or eating. Remove spills and smudges immediately. Do not leave pliable plastic materials on a wood surface, they can damage the finish. Do not place furniture near heat outlets, windows, or in direct sunlight.
