I think I got the last one and it seemed like it was probably sitting in a warehouse for a few years. The packaging had a lot of water damage and some of the paint on the exterior of the item was flaking. It is a very nice looking piece, just wish it arrived in more pristine condition.

12:29 PM Order # 42069275I9 received an open box accent chest today. The description of open box on the website is "The item is in like new condition and has been inspected by our return deparment. We make every effort to look for any indication that the item is defective damaged or will not work." This representation did not prove accurate in my case. The chest was extremely damaged in the upper right front corner, the doors were hung improperly and are not aligned, and in attaching the right side legs, I discovered that the slightly raised edge around the screw hole could not clear the leg slot. I had to use a claw hammer to attempt to gently bend the slot and then had to bang the leg through. I have pictures. I will have to have a handyman rehang the doors at a minimum cost of $100 and I will have to try to match the paint, purchase paint and attempt to cover the damage in the upper front right. I do not want to deal with returning the item as it will be difficult to repack by myself. I am requesting a further price adjustment of $150 (beyond the lower open box price) to cover my extra time and expense in bringing this item up to the promised "like new" condition and as the open box representation was completely misleading and did not represent my experience. Order # 4206927519. The pics were taken with my same iPhone, and the message I am getting when I try to send a photo of the misaligned doors is wrong file format. The pics are all the same file format.

As stated in the first part of survey, I am disappointed in the appearance of the cabinet doors. They are not aligned correctly and as i mentioned before, the gap between the doors is larger toward the bottom of doors. As a result, the backplates are slightly askew.

I absolutely love it, so elegant and pretty and came quickly.
