The look - perfect. The style - perfect. Now, if only the top was nice, and really ... isn’t the top the important part of a table? IF ONLY the top looked as nice as the bottom. It’s ... ugly. Not smooth at all - DEEP, deep recessed grain marks ... rough, rough, ROUGH. And it was shellacked or rubbed or something with a VERY YELLOW substance so it looks NOTHING LIKE the image. It might be okay if this table cost a few hundred dollars, but for the first time in my life I splurged on a 4-figure piece of furniture and I’m left cold. Why would ANYONE want a yellowed, furrowed, rough table top?
