This piece was received with numerous dents/dings in the frame. The travertine stone top looks like two pieces of stone glued together with spackling smeared at the seam to appear as a single stone slab. There are large inclusions visible on the bottom-glued-slab which makes me believe they are using much lower quality stone for the bottom piece which is then glued to the top surface of travertine which is better quality. The lower quality bottom slab also has cracked stone chipping away. The metal frame is made of tube-frame-steel which has the same quality as the steel shelf bracket in your garage. Generally, I’m disappointed in the Hathaway set which I purchased for my living room.
