The desk was beautiful when it arrived a year plus a few days ago. Today, the entire desktop shattered in what was an explosion when no one was anywhere near the desk. I called Wayfair, and as you probably can guess, they wouldn’t help me. Told me it had been more than a year (by a few weeks) Told me to call the manufacturer and deal with them for this. I even spoke with several managers who would not make it good for us. We are bow sitting with a shattered glass top desk and glass everywhere. Awful awful awful. Never again another purchase with Wayfair.

It is a great desk - easily assembled - packed well - built well/solid. Not a fan of the 30 day delivery cycle with no exact delivery date assigned....it showed up earlier than 30 days - but tustve been shipped by a carrier that walked it across the country.

Solid, high-quality, beautiful desk. This desk is very heavy and stable, yet easy to assemble and very functional. The mechanism works like a charm and the grey glass top makes the piece unique and lovely.

We've been shopping around for a standing desk for a while. We saw this one at a local furniture store and was able to test out the electronic, automatic lifting mechanism. For a substantial piece of furniture, I wanted to feel confident in the quality of the legs and the power of the motor. We also opted for a lifting desk instead of the cheaper models that sit atop another desk or ones that you have to manually lift. The desk was also considerably cheaper than Amazon or the local store that is contracted to sell BDI furniture and can't beat free shipping on heavy furniture. Things that were important to us when researching desks: Delivery was 9 days and although not as fast as Amazon, service was great. The delivery men called me with the delivery window abs adhered to it. The desk comes in 2 packages and one was too heavy to carry over stairs but we just brought up the desk in pieces. Assembly took my husband 2 hours and the instructions provided were easy to follow. We also used the assembly video for the exact desk on the BDI website. You can assemble alone but will heed help with flipping it over and installing the glass top. The desk is Clean, modern and good quality. Little details like channels and a wire tray under the desk to hide unsightly wires were a bonus. The aesthetic is similar to an architect or draft table. The lifting mechanism is controlled by a smart looking control panel that can affixed for left or right handers. We got the smaller size for a small sized home office but there is plenty of room for dual monitors and desk area. Since there are no drawers, no space for storage but we weren't looking for that with the clean lines of this desk. very happy with this purchase!

LOVE this desk! It's modern, beautiful and functional. I was worried about the surface: it's a frosted gray glass which I was skeptical about but turned out to be better than I expected. I'm really careful with it since it's glass (like sea glass material) but it's easy to clean, doesn't stick to my skin when working which is what I was worried about and doesn't show prints. Someone mentioned it took awhile to self-install so I'm glad I order the SHIP&INSTALL option for $100 or so extra. Worth every penny because the first desk they sent was shattered in a million pieces because BDI's packaging is poorly done and the surface was on the bottom of the box. This desk is also heavy and takes about 2 people to flip it up if you're building it yourself.
