The name, Norm Architects, reflects the group’s emphasis on the importance of drawing inspiration from norms and traditions within architecture and design – particularly the Scandinavian design principles of timeless aesthetics and natural materials, and the modernist values of restraint and refinement. Guided by these principles, Norm Architects produce a design that unites materials and craftsmanship, while embodying beauty, history, and, most importantly, timeless simplicity, where there is nothing more to add or take away. Today, the group regularly collaborates with Audo Copenhagen, helping to drive the evolution of the brand and its product offerings - imbued with the same intrinsic quality as Norm's creative direction: A simplicity that carries bigger ideas. • Dakar: Thickness (0.9 - 1.1 mm); pilling (3); OEKO-TEX® Certificate. This soft, premium-quality leather is made from high-end raw hides. Aniline leather is ‘nude,’ meaning it displays visible surface marks that reflect the life of the cow – including fat wrinkles, scars, and bite marks. These subtle, natural markings bring a unique quality to each hide. Furthermore, slight color variations are visible as hides react differently to the tanning process. These characteristics will become more pronounced as the leather ages. With open pores similar to that of human skin, the temperature of the leather will adjust to match that of the human body, offering additional comfort for the user when seated. Audio uses aniline leather due to its natural appearance and tactile handle that improves with use.
