Solid wood: Clean with warm neutral PH level soapy water. Use a soft, damp (not wet) cloth. Apply furniture polish to lacquered wood to enhance shine. If chips appear, they can be touched up by a professional using lacquer. For deep chips, a professional can sand down the entire surface and re-stain. Brass: Clean with warm water and a gentle, neutral PH soap. Use a soft, damp (not wet) cloth to avoid scratching. Regular application of beeswax will slow down the formation of the patina. If scratches appear fine-grade sandpaper and polishing will help to smooth them out. Contact a metal worker to carry out the work professionally.
