This is a thick cotton that feels luxurious without being stiff. The size of the runner works for me as I don’t love an overhang on my daily use table. I actually use this on a dresser to display my penguin figurines in my bedroom, and works perfectly so they don't slip and easier for cleaning (don't have to pick the figurines up to dust around them - just dust in front of the runner!).
