Maria gets a new look. For the first time in its more than 100-year history, Rosenthal's successful collection is now available in a contemporary version called "Maria en Vogue" with colored glazes. The delicate pastel colors emphasize the romantic vintage touch of the shape. The triumph of the "Maria" shape began in 1916. The service was named after the wife of the company founder Philipp Rosenthal, who married 35-year-younger Maria in 1916. "Maria" stands for porcelain history and table culture. Presumably created as a replica of a silver tea service, this polygonal dinnerware shape with the characteristic edge relief in the form of a fruit garland became the most extensive Rosenthal service. Based on drawings from the late 19th century originating from the Vista Alegre Museum collection, the pieces in this collection merge Vista Alegre's past with the present. Inspired by both the charm and the dichotomy between opposing natures, the Duality collection portrays the dialectic between reason and emotion, control and explosion, sobriety and excess. On the main faces of its pieces, classic elements prevail, in white, subtly arranged in a delicate harmony. On the other side, lush flowers burst out, seeking to invade the peace and destabilize the regularity, in a swirl of colors and romantic motifs.

The classic pattern made its debut on porcelain in 1961, on the oven-proof Danild range. Back then, it was applied to porcelain as a pattern. In tribute to the classic pattern, it has had new life breathed into it, now a relief. This can be seen in the elegant cup with a handle, handmade in white porcelain.
